British Sports Cars in downtown San Luis Obispo is pleased to offer this charming 1937 Morris 8 Woody for sale. Whether you call it a Woody, Shooting Brake, or Delivery Van, one thing is certain—this is an absolutely fantastic little car.
This Morris has been with its current owner, a longtime client of ours, for many years and has always been one of his favorite cars. In fact, he has gone back and forth about selling it for quite some time. He has finally decided that the time has come to let someone else enjoy it and move on to something different.
One of my favorite things about the collector-car hobby is that you don't have to spend a fortune, and you certainly don't have to go fast, to have a great time. This Morris is a perfect example. If you want a car that puts a smile on your face—and on the face of just about everyone you pass—this is it. It is simply a blast to drive.
The car is fully sorted and ready to enjoy, with beautiful woodwork and a wonderful history. It was originally used as a bakery delivery van in New Zealand before eventually making its way to the United States, where it has been for many years.
It is difficult to find vehicles with this much character, history, and personality. This isn't a car you buy to worry about horsepower figures or 0–60 times. You buy it to take the family out for a Sunday drive, head into town for coffee, enjoy a backroad on a beautiful afternoon, or simply open the garage door and smile.
Especially here on California's Central Coast, it's hard to imagine a more enjoyable little car.
Fully sorted, wonderfully charming, and ready for its next caretaker, this 1937 Morris 8 is the kind of car that reminds you what the old-car hobby is supposed to be about—having fun.
